Altit is an ancient village with great historical, cultural and architectural significance and immense beauty. It locates at the heart of Hunza valley at more than 2200 m. Altit is the birth place and first capital of Hunza kingdom.

The majestic Altit Fort is located at the highest point in the old settlement area. The Altit village offers great attraction to tourists from mid March to mid October. Altit’s cultural, historical and aesthetic values lie in its built-form, the flanking mountain ranges, the glaciers, streams and man-made cultivated terraces surrounding the Hunza valley.

	AESWS is a village based organization established by some local enlightened people during...., in order to provide quality education in the village.
